computer help needed
Um yeah, so this saturday I did get to start working on my thesis. And then I had a really good idea. I have this turnable computer screen and I decided to rotate it to see more of a page in word. So I did. And then my NVIDIA just crashed. And I got a black screen. My neighbor got the picture back by starting the computer in the errorstate "viansietotila" I have finnish windows... But now my problem is that the computer works all fine and all and I have a picture, but it is rotated. And I can't get it back. I've been through everything like 10 times, but the option places to rotate it back are not there. This is getting quite annoying. And I'm not good at my stuff being like non functional. And Jaakko is not here to spend hours trying to make it work. He has nerves of steel, I don't...
I loved the gym today, I think I'm getting more fit...

Sorry to hear about your trouble. Try re-installing the Nvidia software that came with the graphics card. Maybe that helps.
Look at those small icons on the lower left corner of your screen. With luck there's one that rotates the screen with you right click it and choose which way. If there isn't - I may also be in video settings (right click your background and choose Ominaisuudet, then to Asetukset välilehti and then to Lisäasetukset button), if there's nothing there it's propably a separate program from the video drivers so it should be in the control panel (ohjauspaneeli).
If the rotation is automated somehow it may also work just to do the same thing you did last time, meaning rotate the screen sideways and back.
It's quite hard to solve this kind of problems without actually seeing the issue... But good luck sis!
yeah, well see the nvidia logo has disappeared from the tray thing. And clicking ominaisuudet and following from there just doesn't give anything like it used to... So yeah, I guess I'll wait till Jaakko gets back and install the software again or something... Or then I'll just leave it this way. I'm sort of getting used to it anyhow. ;)
